In today's episode we learn the difference between "Finché" (as long as) and "Finché non" (until). They are two different conjunctions, with a different meaning from each other. During the episode, to better understand the main differences of these two conjunctions, you'll hear lots of different examples. Have a good listening! Finché = "per tutto il tempo in cui" e si concentra su un periodo di tempo Finché non = "fino al momento in cui" e si concentra su un momento preciso nel futuro Examples: - Finché Luca è stato alla festa, ci siamo divertiti (As long as Luca was at the party, we had fun) - Per tutto il tempo in cui Luca è stato alla festa, ci siamo divertiti (As long as Luca was at the party, we had fun) - Finché Luca non arriverà alla festa, non ci divertiremo (Until Luca arrives at the party, we won't have fun) - Fino al momento in cui Luca arriverà alla festa, non ci divertiremo (Until Luca gets to the party, we won’t have fun) - Finché c'è stata lei come direttrice, è andato tutto bene (As long as she was in charge, everything was fine) - Per tutto il tempo in cui lei è stata direttrice, è andato tutto bene (As long as she was in charge, everything was fine) - Finché morte non ci separi (Until death do us part) YouTube
